How Green HELP Works:
Darlene Green, City of St. Louis Comptroller, wants you to save money, make your home more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. It’s easy to do: Apply online for the loan and we will quickly determine you’re eligible. The loans don’t require appraisals or expensive loan closings, and are made through the City of St. Louis Comptroller’s office to only eligible city residents. You can borrow any amount up to $15,000, on a first-come, first serve basis until the funds are depleted.
Advantages of Financing an Energy Efficiency Home Upgrade through Green HELP:
The Green HELP Program is run by the Office of the Comptroller-City of St. Louis and provides access to funds with a special low-interest rate. These funds have been set aside specifically to help homeowners reduce their energy bills. The streamlines process is designed to be paperless and contractors can begin work to start making your home more energy-efficient. These loans typically cover the entire cost of the efficiency improvements, so there is no out-of-pocket cost to the homeowner.
